Application to the district employment office for funds from the National Training Fund

The competition is annual and applications are opened twice – at the beginning of the year and, if there are funds in reserve, in the middle of the year.
There are 5 criteria for whom funding may be allocated – they are slightly different every year.
For example, the criterion is very popular – for people over 45 years of age, for foreigners.
You need to meet one of these requirements. Then you need to find a company that will provide it – of course, in the register of companies authorized to provide training. These can be vocational or postgraduate studies. You fill out an application form – I can do that 😊 – and submit it for approval. Then, of course, you need to settle it by submitting copies of the qualifications you've earned. This applies not only to the training and exams themselves, but also to any necessary medical examinations after obtaining a forklift license or other qualifications. It's a simple program, but as with everything else, you need to know how to complete the application.

The District Employment Office can subsidize employee training through the National Training Fund (KFS). Recruitment takes place periodically, and a well-prepared application can significantly reduce the costs of upskilling your company. We help you through the entire process – from reviewing the eligibility requirements to settling the funding.

In practice, the KFS operates as a competition, announced annually by the Public Employment Office (PUP), and applications are often opened twice: at the beginning of the year and – if funds remain or a reserve is released – in subsequent months. Crucially, the rules are not identical in each edition: the criteria and priorities that the office prioritizes may change each year. Typically, several (e.g., five) groups or areas for which the funds are allocated are designated, and the entrepreneur must meet these conditions by meeting at least one of them (for example, priorities for people over a certain age or foreigners appear, depending on the recruitment process).

That's why we begin our support by analyzing whether your company and planned training fit into the current recruitment process and how to describe your training needs to align with KFS priorities. We then help you through the practical steps: selecting the training and provider, and ensuring that it is an entity authorized to provide the specific type of training (e.g., a training company, an educational institution, a postgraduate program – depending on the purpose). This step is important because the office often requires specific information about the program, costs, and outcomes of the training.

The next step is preparing the documents and application – including the financial section. We ensure that the amounts are calculated correctly, the justification is logical, and the attachments are complete, so that the application is free from formal deficiencies and can proceed smoothly through the approval stage. Once the funds are awarded, we also assist with the settlement of the funding – this usually requires the submission of documents confirming training completion and qualifications (e.g., certificates, attestations, reports).

It's worth remembering that KFS may cover not only the training or exam itself, but also the costs necessary to obtain certifications—for example, required medical examinations, if they are a condition for work permits or obtaining a specific certification (e.g., for forklifts). We help you navigate the program comprehensively, ensuring your company uses the funds in accordance with the rules and without any issues at the settlement stage.
