From 1 June 2025, the employment of foreigners in Poland is fully electronic via the Praca.gov.pl portal and no longer requires a labor market test.

The process has been simplified, but still requires compliance with the new Act of 20 March 2025 on the conditions for the admissibility of entrusting work to foreigners.

Experienced specialists will ensure that the appropriate documentation is prepared for the Voivodeship Office and will monitor the process of obtaining a work permit or residence card by the employee.

In practice, despite the simplification of procedures, the correct implementation of the entire process by the employer remains crucial: verifying whether the individual has a residence permit entitling them to work, selecting the appropriate legalization path (e.g., declaration, seasonal permit, other procedures), and ensuring compliance with information obligations and deadlines after submitting the application. It is at these stages that errors most often occur, later hindering the commencement of work or generating risks during inspections.

As part of our service, we help prepare and complete documentation, organize HR data required for the application, and then guide the company through the entire procedure electronically – ensuring that all formalities are completed correctly and the employee can safely begin work in compliance with regulations. We also support correspondence with authorities and address any formal deficiencies that may arise during the case.

Once the documents have been submitted, it's crucial to continuously monitor the status of the case: deadlines, required actions by the employer, and whether the documents match the actual working conditions. Therefore, we oversee the employee's process of obtaining a work permit or residence permit and advise on how to proceed with employment changes (e.g., changes to employment terms, breaks in employment, continuation after document expiry) to avoid exposing the company to unnecessary risks.
