Intrastat is the EU statistical system used to collect data on trade in goods between EU Member States. The obligation to submit Intrastat declarations rests with VAT taxpayers who have exceeded certain turnover thresholds in terms of import or export of goods. This system allows for monitoring intra-EU trade and provides valuable information to national and European institutions.
